**Chrysler Certification Required**

As an Automotive Specialist, you will be tasked with understanding and executing essential repairs necessary for customer vehicles. Your role will involve performing general diagnostics and repairs with some guidance. These tasks encompass, but are not limited to, light engine repairs, transmission work, clutch replacements, drive shaft services, electrical system repairs (including starters and alternators), HVAC system maintenance, and steering & suspension work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document all services performed and recommendations on the assigned repair order.
  • Utilize the multi-point inspection form effectively for each vehicle.
  • Communicate with the service advisor regarding any additional work required or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
  • Maintain technician proficiency as per DARCARS standards.
  • Conduct road tests to assess necessary work and confirm successful completion of repairs when applicable.
  • Execute all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance services.
  • Engage in product and technical training as assigned by management and manufacturers.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs to continuously enhance your knowledge of new technologies.
  • Achieve and maintain the manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above DARCARS specified goals.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for warranty repair orders and warranty claims.
  • Report any conditions that may jeopardize the safety or integrity of the dealership, customers, or employees to management.
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are returned in a clean condition post-service.
  • Complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies, regarding the safeguarding of customer vehicles, property, and information.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive technician experience required.
  • Factory training certification is highly preferred.
  • Full ASE certification is a plus.
  • Excellent CSI and quality scores are essential.
  • Proficiency in all vehicle maintenance services is required.
  • Production averaging over 100% is expected.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to handle complex tasks repetitively.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are mandatory.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screening (background check).
