About the Role

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve optimal physical function and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze patients to identify physical dysfunction or pain, and develop effective treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Implement physical therapy interventions, including exercises, instruction, and education, to maximize functional independence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Minimum one year of experience in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required by the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
  • Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification in inpatient rehab settings.
  • CPR certification.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
  • May be required to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities.
