Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and analyze patients to identify physical dysfunction or pain, and develop effective treatment plans to remediate and rehabilitate.
- Perform physical therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation, utilizing appropriate interventions, procedures, and equipment.
- Provide patient and family education, training, and support to promote functional independence and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in peer review, performance improvement activities, and continuing education to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with department guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks with significant manual skills and motor coordination.
This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and safety.
Credentials and CertificationsAs a Physical Therapist, you will need to be certified in CPR and have a strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices. Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification in inpatient rehab settings is highly desirable.
