Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Design Engineer to provide engineering support for the sale of XeteX custom air handling equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with our Independent Sales Representatives to deliver engineering designs, quotes, and project management support for assigned jobs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and create customized HVAC unit designs that meet and exceed project specifications.
  • Utilize software tools to select and size components for optimal unit performance, ensuring compliance with industry and regional standards nationwide and internationally.
  • Develop technical unit drawings using AutoCAD to share with customers.
  • Analyze mechanical plans and specifications to ensure accurate design and implementation.
  • Create construction specifications, scope of supply, and exceptions reports.
  • Provide detailed cost estimates and performance approximations to support equipment design quotes.
  • Stay up-to-date with new vendor product offerings and support their implementation into XeteX designs.
  • Represent the company at conventions, rep events, and occasional customer visits.
  • Enjoy flexibility to work from home once fully onboarded.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred, or prior HVAC equipment experience.
  • 5-10 years of related work experience required.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel independently, with infrequent travel under 10%.
