Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and performing procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to take diagnostic images of specific body areas and produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients properly and provide clear instructions regarding the procedure before beginning an exam.
  • Ensure quality review of images and adherence to departmental SOPs.
  • Practice safety protocols with regard to patient and employee safety when in range of magnetic field.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum.
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License or New York State Radiologic Technologist Temp Permit.
  • ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
