Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping our radiologists interpret images and make accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of specific body areas, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients properly, providing clear instructions and ensuring patient safety.
  • Enter exam coding accurately in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Supervise and instruct radiography students in clinical practicum, working with them to perform exams and evaluate images.
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit.
  • ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiology or a related health field.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an MRI technologist or training.
