Job Title: Radio Frequency Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency Engineer to join our team at Indotronix International Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing wireless networks to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create site design RFDS and complete plumbing diagrams to ensure efficient network deployment.
  • Perform radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition to identify optimal locations for network expansion.
  • Evaluate coverage problems and requirements for coverage and capacity cells to ensure seamless network performance.
  • Utilize propagation tools and other RF-related equipment to review and select the best options for network design.
  • Determine regulatory coverage boundaries for extensions, FAA/FCC filings, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Review cell sites and design for upgrades/modifications to improve network performance and efficiency.
  • Create search areas and review search area candidates within geographic areas to identify the best locations for network expansion.
  • Work closely with the performance team to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the area of interest.
  • Prepare necessary zoning justification packages and regulatory filings for sites to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct RFE analysis, generate required reports and documents, and ensure 100% compliance to RFE mitigation standards within the allotted time frame.
  • Determine the required antennas for planned frequencies and their optimal positions to ensure efficient network deployment.
  • Determine the required cable, antennas, and equipment to implement macro and small cell wireless network clusters.
  • Automate processes when opportunities arise and share information with the teams to improve collaboration and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as 5G and LTE/VoLTE technology, is essential for this role.
Requirements:
  • 4G network design and implementation experience, including knowledge of antennas, band performance capabilities, and limitations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of LTE KPIs and impacts of design on them, as well as different types of losses and mitigation techniques.
  • Methods to calculate antenna gain and free space path loss, as well as the effects of outdoor terrain and indoor structures on signal propagation.
  • Understanding and use of topographical maps and digital terrain databases, as well as antenna system design and use, including antenna types, patterns, gain, and EIRP.
  • Macro site design considerations in urban, sub-urban, and rural environments, as well as small cell design considerations in urban and sub-urban environments.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL scripting, or VB Scripting to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation, to analyze and present data effectively.
