Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development of construction drawings and other CAD/BIM products using Bentley's Open Roads Designer software. You will work closely with experienced team members to ensure project design standards and requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use Bentley's Open Roads Designer software to support the development of construction drawings and other CAD/BIM products.
  • Follow project design standards and requirements associated with Federal Coastal Storm Risk Management Projects.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, hydraulic, structural, and coastal engineers to ensure multi-discipline coordination.
  • Perform quantity calculations and prepare specifications and contract documents.
  • Exercise judgment in evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in general Civil Engineering, including leadership and communication skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Aptitude and hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering, such as InRoads, Siteworks, Hecras, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in civil design teams, including experience with Bentley or AutoDesk drafting platforms.
  • Experience with Civil Engineering design, including management of survey and utility data, coordination with GIS data sources, creation of surfaces, performance of earthwork grading, or performance of quantity take-offs.
  • Good technical writing skills.
