Avionics Technician Job Description

At Pats Aircraft LLC, we're seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team of experts in aircraft maintenance, modification, and completion. As an Avionics Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
  • Accomplish tasks using work methods and procedures, strictly in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturer's specifications, and company standards.
  • Read, interpret, and follow wiring schematics, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and drawings for modifications.
  • Utilize various testing devices, meters, and electricians' tools to inspect, test, adjust, and repair wiring, components, and instrumentation in various aircraft systems.
  • Document all aircraft-related actions in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, Quality System Manual, and regulatory guidance.
Requirements:
  • High School Education or equivalent reading, writing, and math abilities.
  • 5+ years of airplane avionics experience or combination of training/education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of precision measuring tools and basic tools.
  • Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office software and other company-specific software applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours or second shift, when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
