Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Bronx, New York.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with complex medical conditions, including cranio-facial abnormalities, congenital heart defects, and head and neck cancer.
  • Conduct Modified Barium Swallow studies and Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallow Studies (FEES) to assess swallowing function.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP).
  • Current New York State license and registration in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
