Traveling Safety Manager

Job Summary:
The Traveling Safety Manager will oversee the safety compliance of construction projects, working with project teams to develop service plans and ensure risk assessments are complete. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a thorough understanding of construction processes and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety plans for assigned projects
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with project management to ensure safe planning and execution of work
- Liaise with external agents and inspectors related to safety and health
- Manage subcontractor safety-related issues and enforce safety rules and regulations
- Provide input and assistance with pre-task planning, strategizing, and conceptual scheduling
- Mentor subordinates and promote a team atmosphere reflecting BOND's values
- Produce regular safety inspections within Highwire
- Conduct accident investigations and follow up with Safety Support Services
Requirements:
- BS in Occupational Safety or related discipline or equivalent work experience in the construction industry
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Extensive knowledge of the Owner Contract, drawings, subcontractor agreements, scope, and risk management mitigation
- Thorough understanding of construction processes and best practices
- Competent public speaker and safety trainer
- Ability to travel 85-100% of the time, depending on location
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables
- Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
