Job Title: Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Manager to join our team at Peter Kiewit Sons'. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing our environmental health and safety programs, driving a safety-oriented approach to work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing environmental health and safety programs at the project level
  • Compiling and analyzing occupational illness and accident statistical data
  • Recommending process and product safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards
  • Routinely inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards
  • Developing and implementing environmental health and safety training programs
  • Interpreting safety regulations and coordinating safety training for employees
Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study
  • At least 8 years of experience managing safety on construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping, and injury management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
