Job Overview:
As a vital member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.
- Plan and organize repair schedules while sourcing necessary parts.
- Assist in evaluating mechanical reports and coordinating repair timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a secure working environment.
- Utilize various tools and equipment effectively.
- Keep the workspace clean and organized.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Stay informed on the latest technological advancements through ongoing training.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of experience in diesel mechanics is preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer usage is necessary.
- Must adhere to safety regulations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication abilities.
- Capability to follow directives and work autonomously.
- Proficient in operating required vehicles and machinery.
- Physical capacity to perform job-related tasks.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands frequently.
- Requires sustained concentration.
- Visual and physical effort is essential.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noises, varying weather conditions, and chemicals.
- Occasional work at elevated heights.
- Typically, the work environment is noisy.
