Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of our network operations center, supporting IT infrastructure at multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, track, revise, and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of IT and computing resources.
  • Assure and sustain the integrity and security of network infrastructure.
  • Provide remote assistance to IT fielding technicians to include network configuration, troubleshooting, sub-netting, and circuit validation.
  • Manage and monitor network equipment using network monitoring, performance analysis and fault management tools.
  • Utilize Remedy ticketing system to create, update, monitor and resolve tickets pertaining to end-user networking equipment.
  • Conduct technical writing to document and update information pertaining to all facets of network equipment.
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of firewalls, switches, routers, and other networking technologies.
  • Support Cisco Unified Communications suite of technologies to include VoIPs and telepresence.
Requirements
  • Must be a self-starter who can take senior-leader guidance and intent, and oversee the operations of independent and collaborative, assigned projects.
  • Must be DoD M compliant, IAT II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP).
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology.
  • Coachable and Receptive.
  • Effective Client-facing skills to include: communication, active listening, critical thinking, time management, and adaptability.
  • Availability to travel up to 20% in support of customer mission needs.
Clearance and Certifications
  • Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI.
  • Must possess current CCNA certification.
