About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced customer service representative to join our team as a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative.
  • As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to pharmacies, clients, members, and other insurance providers.
  • You will work in a call center environment, handling inbound and outbound calls, and resolving issues related to pharmacy operations.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to determine pharmacy eligibility by reviewing, researching, and analyzing information in our systems.
  • You will also maintain and enter member/prescription information into our systems, forward records to relevant parties when necessary, and respond to calls/emails/faxes from members, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Additionally, you will provide timely and thorough responses to internal and external customers, maintain HIPAA/PHI guidelines, and escalate difficult issues to the appropriate party.
  • As a critical thinker and problem-solver, you will use your expertise to resolve conflicts and manage workloads efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in pharmacy operations.
  • Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and ability to apply it in a customer service context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, particularly those used in healthcare and customer service.
