Job Summary

The Division of Rheumatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly qualified candidate for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. As the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, you will play a critical role in advancing a positive and effective culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Division, including for all levels of trainees, faculty, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Division's leadership and faculty to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for patients and the broader community.
  • Provide training and education on diversity, equity, and inclusion to Division members.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address disparities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and stakeholders to advance the Division's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

Requirements

  • MD degree.
  • ABIM certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives preferred.
