About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with behavioral health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care with patients' medical providers and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders, and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Monitor patients' treatment response and adjust plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Support patients in managing their mental health conditions through evidence-based interventions and education.
  • Collaborate with psychiatric consultants to develop and implement treatment plans that address patients' complex needs.
  • Develop and implement relapse prevention plans to help patients maintain their progress and achieve long-term recovery.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology).
  • 3+ years of experience in treating patients with behavioral health conditions.
  • 1+ years of experience working in primary care or other medical behavioral integrated settings.
  • Experience with assessment and evidence-based treatments for common mental health disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong technology skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools.
