Job Opportunity: Project Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Psomas. As a key member of our Survey and Geospatial Team, you will play a critical role in managing field and office staff, overseeing project assignments, and delivering high-quality surveying and mapping services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and coordinate projects, including design surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping, boundary resolution, and record mapping.
  • Utilize various workflows to process field data and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and lead by example, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Maintain and manage field survey data systems, including local and wide network operating systems.
  • Prepare and submit technical mapping and final drawings for agency approval.
  • Research and analyze title reports, ROW/E, ALTA's, topography, and mapping.
  • Perform survey calculations, analysis, and field support.
  • Apply knowledge of common boundary establishment methods and analysis.
  • Collaborate with various staff members, disciplines, and departments to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) certification.
  • 7+ years of experience in all phases of surveying, including public mapping experience, or a BS degree in Geomatics and 4+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of public agency codes, processes, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal mapping requirements.
