Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

Industrial Pro Recruiting is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to oversee all engineering operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and directing subordinates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize workload within the engineering department to ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.
  • Understand project scope and communicate it to support staff.
  • Monitor and maintain project budgets and productivity.
  • Advise and assist engineers and staff with company policy, process, and methods.
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
  • Oversee the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, and supporting documents.
  • Independently evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Work closely with CAD Supervisor, Project Managers, Engineers, and Surveyors to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Identify long lead items or project critical requirements.
  • Provide clear and concise redline sketches for grading and street sections, utility hardware details, and other site improvement details.
  • Direct the work of Drafters and Technicians by providing plans, specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Oversee and perform civil design calculations.
  • Research code issues and work with City, State, and County officials.
  • Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommend necessary changes.
  • Resolve complex problems and review work for completeness and accuracy.
  • Use a checklist to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Stamp and sign improvement plans and reports.
  • Attend kick-off and design review meetings and interact with clients.

As an Engineering Project Manager at Industrial Pro Recruiting, you will be responsible for coordinating with other engineers, technicians, and administrative assistants during preliminary and final plan preparation and submittal. You will also take and drop off plans to clients and government authorities for final signatures as required.

Requirements:
  • Strong background in project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with CAD software and civil design calculations.
  • Knowledge of local design procedural manuals and jurisdictional standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
