Senior IT PMO Governance Manager

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Senior Manager of the IT Program Management Office (PMO) Governance is responsible for defining and overseeing governance processes that facilitate the planning, prioritization, tracking, and alignment of work efforts across all technology initiatives.
The PMO plays a crucial role in managing and reporting on the technology portfolio, enabling effective decision-making throughout the organization. The Senior Manager may lead a team of supervisors and individual contributors, ensuring that the PMO Analysis Group contributes significantly to all major PMO functions.
Key Functions:
- Governance: Act as a key contributor to the ongoing enhancement of PMO policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and oversight.
- Support: Manage technology requests and projects in the early stages of their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and providing necessary training and guidance.
- Reporting: Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of reports to drive transparency with stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Manage the Technology Project Intake process to ensure project alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Coordinate preliminary project and program reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Oversee the quality of the project sizing process and manage the IT project requests backlog.
- Ensure transparency and accuracy of the Active Project Portfolio.
- Oversee budget reviews and approvals, as well as Project Change Request (PCR) activities.
- Manage compliance with program and project reporting requirements.
- Conduct Project Quality Assurance (PQA) reviews to ensure adherence to SDLC and PMLC requirements.
- Train Technology Project Managers on processes and systems.
- Lead a team of PMO Analysts and Coordinators aligned with business divisions and technology teams.
- Drive projects within the PMO Governance Function to minimize risk and implement best practices.
- Facilitate projects focused on enhancing decision-making through robust Key Risk Indicator (KRI) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
- Support process re-engineering initiatives to remove friction from workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in IT Project Management and/or Project Management Office.
- At least 5 years' experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience managing/supervising small cross-functional teams.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current project delivery methodologies and enterprise PPM tools.
Compensation:
Starting base salary: $127,626 - $237,014 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
