Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the trust company's policies, governance framework, and relevant regulations.
  • Review and evaluate the trust company's financial health, including audit reports and budget proposals.
  • Participate actively in board meetings, contributing to discussions on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements governing the trust company.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on governance matters, including operational strategies and senior management oversight.
  • Stay informed about regulatory trends and business challenges impacting the trust company.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years in a senior leadership role within a financial services institution, such as a trust company or bank.
  • Willingness to attend quarterly board meetings, with a minimum of two held in the designated state.
  • Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and audit documentation.
  • Familiarity with banking or trust company regulations, or a strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel at least twice annually.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience serving on a board, particularly within a trust company.
  • Background in executive or senior management roles within a trust company or bank, particularly in compliance, operations, or legal functions.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sectors.
