Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Interventional provides high-quality patient care in the Interventional Department, ensuring the well-being and safety of patients undergoing various medical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides nursing care for patients undergoing interventional procedures, including biopsy, drainage, and special procedures.
  • Circulates in the department, recognizing physical and emotional changes in patients' condition and taking appropriate action.
  • Consistently demonstrates thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental protocols, ensuring accurate charting and documentation.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, adhering to radiation safety practices and proper equipment usage.
  • Assists other modalities with nursing patient care issues, demonstrating competency in Departmental communication and Radiographic Information System usage.
  • Maintains a well-stocked and organized work area, ensuring efficient workflow in the Interventional Recovery Unit.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience, with at least one year in critical care, ER, or PACU experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
