Structures Analyst

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Structures Analyst, you'll play a critical role in designing and analyzing the structural integrity of our spacecraft and lunar landers. Your expertise will ensure the safe and reliable transportation of crew and cargo to the lunar surface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze structural models of spacecraft and lunar landers
  • Conduct finite element analysis and stress calculations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments
  • Develop and refine structural design concepts to meet performance and cost requirements
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
  • 12+ years of experience in structural analysis and design
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis software (e.g. Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus)
  • Strong understanding of structural dynamics and loads
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with composite materials and structures
  • Knowledge of thermal and vibro-acoustic analysis
  • Proficiency in ProEngineer Wildfire 4 or Creo Parametric
  • Experience with human spaceflight and spacecraft systems
