Watson Civil Construction, a leading heavy civil contractor in Florida, is seeking an experienced Subcontractor Coordinator for its Jacksonville/St. Augustine office.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional to support our accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing notices to property owners, processing lien waivers, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and maintaining project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Notice Management: Prepare and send notices to property owners to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
  • Lien Waiver Tracking: Oversee the processing and tracking of lien waivers to protect our financial interests and ensure project continuity.
  • Invoice Review: Handle the review and timely payment of subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison with subcontractors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining effective communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update insurance certificates and other critical project documents to ensure compliance and up-to-date records.

Additional Duties May Include:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable management
  • Payroll administration
  • General Accounting tasks such as journal entries, bank reconciliations, and data entry
  • Fixed Asset and Inventory Tracking
  • Office Administration Support for the Accounting Department

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in Excel and Office 365; experience with construction ERP systems like Viewpoint Spectrum is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with heavy civil contractors is a plus
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders
