Job Summary

The Tier 2 IT Technician is a critical member of the IT team at Vesta Property Services, responsible for providing advanced technical support and maintaining critical systems throughout the Northeast locations. This role builds on the responsibilities of the Tier 1 Technician, with additional duties that include after-hours support, specialized system maintenance, and regional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support and maintenance for critical systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and software applications.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support, ensuring availability to address urgent technical issues outside of regular business hours.
  • Support and maintain the 3CX phone system, ensuring reliable communication infrastructure.
  • Provide support for the QuickBooks server, ensuring seamless operation and resolving any related technical issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of gate and door access systems to ensure security and functionality.
  • Provide technical support to a designated area around the main site, addressing any IT needs within the region.
  • Offer guidance and support to Tier 1 Technicians, helping them resolve complex issues and develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or 3 years equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, software, and networking.
  • Experience with 3CX phone systems, QuickBooks server support, and POS software maintenance.
  • Ability to manage and maintain access control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians is a plus.
  • Firewall and virtualization experience a plus.
