Job Overview

Company Overview:
Sparks Group is collaborating with several leading organizations in the Metro DC region to seek skilled Receivables Management Specialists for various employment options including contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive accounts receivable functions, including thorough research and account reconciliation.
  • Process and record daily cash transactions, adjusting customer accounts as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate application of all incoming payments.
  • Prepare and organize batches for general ledger posting.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations.
  • Support the collections team with inquiries regarding payments, charge-backs, and outstanding balances.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required; an Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable within a fast-paced environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with lockbox processing and check scanning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with large ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Dynamics GP, or Costpoint.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

This position requires in-person attendance.
