Position: Retail Key Holder

Reports to: Store Manager

As a Retail Key Holder, you will collaborate closely with your Store Manager to guide store team members in meeting sales performance targets through proactive coaching, fostering a team-oriented selling atmosphere, and ensuring operational excellence while serving as the manager on duty.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate the store team to reach their highest performance levels.
  • Implement strategies to enhance growth and potential.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaged store environment.
  • Enhance the customer experience through superior operational practices.
  • Surpass customer expectations in every interaction.

Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the store management team to lead staff in achieving sales, service, and operational goals when acting as the manager on duty.
  • Exemplify company values and provide active coaching.
  • Effectively communicate priorities and sales-driving information to ensure staff is equipped to maximize business outcomes.
  • Assist in the recruitment of store staff and promote diversity by contributing to an inclusive work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Support the management team in realizing store business objectives, including sales, customer service, and operational targets.
  • Utilize store reports to inform decisions that drive business performance.
  • Engage in business outreach initiatives and relay leads to the Store Manager.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and collaborate with the management team on development plans.

Operational Excellence:

  • Work with the management team to ensure appropriate staffing levels to effectively execute initiatives and operational tasks, fulfilling customer commitments.
  • Assist in training store staff on all internal operational functions as required.
  • Stay updated on corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the management team in implementing store programs aimed at enhancing efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding.

Workplace Culture:

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive store environment where all opinions and contributions are valued.
  • Encourage a culture of learning and development, ensuring training resources are utilized effectively.
  • Serve as a role model for all store team members, providing enthusiastic and motivational leadership.
  • Partner with the management team to conduct regular store meetings, ensuring all team members are informed of company directives.

Customer Experience:

  • Assist in training the store team on customer service standards to create an outstanding customer experience, exceed expectations, and achieve a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Utilize customer feedback to address and resolve concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the store is visually aligned with brand standards and marketing initiatives are executed according to company guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Retail or Sales.
  • A creative individual with sound judgment and a keen understanding of business dynamics.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and a strategic thinker.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in training and developing high-performing store teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to operate a computer and POS system effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of work shifts, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders to access merchandise or supplies, and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.
