We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at Kooner Fleet Management Solutions. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for performing onsite and roadside preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT Inspections, and follow-up repairs to Class 6-8 trucks in a mobile/field environment.
- Respond to emergency road service calls and perform repairs as needed.
- Diagnose and repair various types of truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, and more.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and work within or close to standard repair times.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician on Class 6-8 vehicles and trailers.
- Proficiency in and ability to obtain certificates for DOT Inspection and Air Brakes repairs.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers and their drivers.
- Proficiency in the use of mobile devices and navigation of mobile applications.
- Willingness to work varied schedules and work outdoors in the elements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, and apply initiative.
- Positive attitude, safety conscious, and self-motivated.
- Competitive weekly pay: $32 - $38/hr.
