Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is a key member of the University Brand Marketing & Communications team, responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to promote the university's brand and messaging.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal clients to identify communication needs and develop effective communication plans
- Write and edit high-quality content for various communication channels, including website stories, social media posts, intranet stories, emails, press releases, and marketing materials
- Distribute content across multiple channels to amplify the university's reach and engage with constituents
- Manage the university's social media channels, creating and curating content, and responding to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Assist with traditional media relations, including distributing news stories and coordinating interviews with media outlets
- Monitor and analyze data analytics to measure the success of content and make data-driven decisions
- Ensure the university's brand and editorial standards are consistently applied across all content
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, media relations, journalism, or a related field
- More than five years of experience in public relations, with a focus on higher education and/or nonprofit organizations
- Excellent writing, editing, and content marketing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Associated Press style
- Strong research, organizational, and interpersonal skills
