The Position: Subsurface Utility Engineering CAD Designer

We are currently seeking an experienced CAD Designer for our Commerce City, Colorado office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and updating utility drawings utilizing processed field data in AutoCAD.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with SUE teams and internal stakeholders on incoming orders and projects
  • Maintaining effective communication with city inspectors and engineers to review and revise plans for permitting purposes
  • Actively engaging with customers, vendors, and supervisors as necessary
  • Performing quality control checks on deliverables with other team members
  • Conducting research and data collection for Plan and Profile designs
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Education or experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Q3 Contracting is a drug-free workplace, and all candidates will undergo drug testing
  • Confidentiality and ability to maintain protected information
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are desired but not required
