At AdventHealth, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. As a Pediatric Transport RN FT Days, you will play a vital role in our team, transporting critically ill or injured children to our hospital for specialized care.
About the Role:This is a full-time position working 5:30am-6:00pm, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. You will be responsible for providing emergency care to neonatal and pediatric patients, collaborating with the medical team to ensure safe and effective transport.
Responsibilities:- Obtain and document a thorough nursing history, including age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms.
- Assess for signs of abuse or neglect and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Practice autonomously, utilizing your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Identify individualized plans of care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
- Perform treatments and administer medications according to policies and procedures.
- Function effectively in clinical emergencies, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and nursing practice.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
- Valid BLS and PALS certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
