Culinary Supervisor (Halal/Non Halal)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise food preparation and production to maintain high-quality standards in accordance with company SOP.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards as outlined in our SOP.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of kitchen staff.
  • Conduct induction training and on-the-job training for new and promoted employees.
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and proper equipment usage to team members.
  • Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen utensils.
  • Coordinate with Central Kitchen and suppliers for ordering supplies.
  • Handle maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.
  • Perform backend duties including stock takes and scheduling.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Head Chef.

Job Requirements:

  • Positive and proactive working attitude.
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience or in a similar role.
  • Possession of WSQ Food & Hygiene Certificate or Halal Certificate is advantageous.
  • Able to work in a warm, oily, and humid environment.
  • Capable of working effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
