Position Overview:

This position is essential for ensuring that all varieties of meats are expertly processed into the appropriate cuts and preparations as per company standards. The role contributes to the overall profitability of our stores while maintaining the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Skillfully cut and weigh various meat products for customer service.
  • Prepare 'value-added' items following established protocols.
  • Trim and bone meat cuts to produce cooking-ready portions.
  • Grind and package meats according to specific recipes.
  • Label, date, and package meat products using department scales.
  • Ensure proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in display cases.
  • Communicate with management regarding inventory needs.
  • Receive and organize incoming merchandise.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products in the department.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the department.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience in retail, warehouse, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Meat Cutter or in an Apprentice role is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents effectively.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Knowledge of meat products and their preparation.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
