Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Maine Medical Center. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive pharmacy services to adult and pediatric patients in various critical care units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review drug therapies and formulate recommendations based on current literature and established standards of practice.
  • Directly supervise supportive personnel and serve as a resource for drug information.
  • Participate in the preparation and distribution of medications and serve as a member of the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advance practice providers, nurses, and other relevant staff to develop care plans for patients.
  • Respond to adult medical codes, including adult code strokes, and prepare drug therapies and field drug information.
  • Support and facilitate quality and safety initiatives, train pharmacy learners, and develop policies, procedures, and guidelines using evidence-based medicine and national quality indicators.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ACCP accredited school/college of pharmacy.
  • Eligible or currently licensed in the State of Maine.
  • Work experience as a patient care pharmacist involved in patient monitoring and drug therapy review is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve problems related to drug therapy.
