At Virtual, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Consultant to lead our client's dynamic tax team in Irvine, CA.



This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to take on a pivotal role in a leading multi-national company.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Tax Provision: Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial disclosures.
  • U.S. GAAP Income Tax Reporting: Manage worldwide U.S. GAAP income tax reporting for all foreign entities.
  • Internal Control Environment: Ensure an effective internal control environment for compliance with financial reporting standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
  • Cash Tax Forecast: Conduct preparation of global cash tax forecast and analysis.
  • Tax Team Management: Direct the tax team in preparing the U.S. tax provision and compliance for corporate and partnership income tax returns, including US foreign disclosure returns.
  • Tax Staff Development: Mentor and develop the tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Tax Audit Management: Oversee North America federal, state, and foreign income tax audits.
  • Tax Operations: Coordinate tax-related expenses and operations with the international tax team.
  • Technical Research: Provide technical research and consultation to ensure proper accounting treatment for all transactions.
  • Tax Minimization: Engage in projects aimed at minimizing tax burden and reducing the company's effective tax rate and cash taxes.
  • Process Implementation: Implement new tax software and process changes as required.
  • M&A Support: Support M&A transactions, integration activities, and special projects.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Certifications: Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master's degree in Business Taxation, or Juris Doctor.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience with Big 4 or equivalent, or in a large corporate tax department.
  • Skills: Proficiency in ASC 740 (Income Tax Accounting), C Corp, and Partnership Taxation.
  • Leadership: Strong command of corporate federal and state income tax law and corporate indirect taxes.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, and OneSource tax software.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
