Position Summary

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within five years of hire.
  • Grandfathering is accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.
  • Exemptions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council.
  • Facilities will track exemptions as needed. RNs with ten or more years of experience are exempt.

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred Certifications: National Certification in specialty area.

Required Experience: Minimum of one year of hospital nursing experience.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 as per local, state, and federal regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is granted).
