Job Summary and Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within five years of hiring into the RN role.
- Grandfathering accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.
- Exemptions or extensions may be granted by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council.
- Facilities will track exemptions as necessary. RNs with over ten years of experience are exempt.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should verify with NCBON.
- Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications: National Certification in specialty area.
Required Experience: Minimum of one year of hospital nursing experience.
This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and/or federal regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is granted).
