Job Title: Supported Employment & Education Coordinator

Mountain Home Montana is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Supported Employment & Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in assisting clients in obtaining and maintaining education and/or competitive employment through the implementation of the Individualized Placement and Support (IPS) Model.

Job Summary:

The Supported Employment & Education Coordinator will develop relationships with employers in the community to facilitate successful job matches and work closely with an integrated mental health team to provide high-quality services. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness, with excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage clients and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment and education in community settings.
  • Support clients in employment and education services, including intake, engagement, assessment, job placement, education placement, coaching, and follow-along support.
  • Conduct job development activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of the client, following the principles/procedures of IPS.
  • Occasionally transport clients to and from job interviews, jobs, and/or school-related activities.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate with the team to coordinate services and generate ideas to help participants achieve employment and/or educational goals.
  • Meet regularly with your supervisor and attend required meetings and training.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a similar field and/or related experience providing services to young adults with special needs, severe emotional disturbances, and/or cognitive or developmental delays.
  • Strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Logical thinker to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches.
  • Accurate and efficient typist and experienced user of computers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Self-starter while working well in a strong team environment.
