Job Description

You will leverage Kandji's powerful data platform to build custom tooling for our Threat Researchers and Detection Engineers, working alongside Data, App, and Infrastructure engineers as well as Threat Intelligence subject matter experts.

This role requires experience building data-intensive applications using modern component-based UI frameworks and libraries, with a focus on simple, intuitive, and functional software design.

You'll equip Threat Intelligence teams with the tooling they need to keep Kandji's Security products world-class, function as an embedded asset within Kandji Labs on cross-domain projects, design and implement internal tooling applications end-to-end, and contribute to tooling development by developing backend services and/or frontend components.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a seasoned software engineer with:

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience with modern languages and frameworks (Python, Django or FastAPI preferred)
  • 3+ years of professional engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Remix.js, Svelte or Vue)
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of datastore technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, ElasticSearch)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift)
  • Experience with writing integration and unit tests (pytest, Jest, Playwright, Cypress)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git)
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $180,000 per year, plus benefits including 100% individual and dependent medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with a 4% company match, 20 days PTO, 14 paid holidays per year, 10 health and wellness days per year, and equity for full-time employees.
