Afinia Dental - Bridgetown is a dynamic and patient-focused dental office seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a member of our 15-person team, you will be part of a collaborative and community-driven environment that values continuous learning and growth.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support our dentists in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under state dental practice act)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
- Team player
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
