At Leprino Foods, we are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing a wide array of human resources activities aimed at nurturing and supporting our workforce. Compensation: The starting salary for this position typically falls between $80,000 and $88,000, complemented by an annual target bonus of 5%.

  • Engage in a vibrant, non-union manufacturing environment.
  • Assist the Plant HR Manager in cultivating a robust organizational culture, enhancing leadership capabilities, and promoting company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designated business units to provide exceptional HR services aligned with strategic goals.
  • Offer essential HR support and guidance to front-line leaders, empowering them to excel.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics, working alongside our HR team to devise innovative solutions and policies.
  • Address complex employee relations matters with compassion and fairness.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, ensuring transparency and respect throughout the process.
  • Mentor and coach front-line supervisors to enhance their leadership skills and foster employee engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through effective performance management.
  • Lead change management initiatives to facilitate positive transformations within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Perform internal audits of HR policies and procedures to uphold quality standards.
  • Provide daily support on various HR topics, including benefits, compensation, leave management, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and employee recognition.
  • Contribute to the development of the HR team through coaching and mentorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, along with a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an HR Associate, Specialist, or Generalist in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of California and Federal employment laws and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in employment law, organizational development, labor relations, safety, and training.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Standard Work, 5S, Process Mapping, or Project Management.
  • A Master's degree in Labor Relations, HR Management, or Organizational Development, along with relevant certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SCP).
  • Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, particularly in the dairy sector, with oversight of HR Supervisors or Generalists.
