Position Overview

This role involves working in a production setting focused on the processing of poultry products. Responsibilities may include handling live poultry and working with both raw and cooked items. Employees typically work five to six days a week, with the possibility of overtime based on production demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in various tasks along the production line to process poultry food items.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

In a production facility, employees may encounter:

  • Wet and slippery surfaces, including metal and plastic grating.
  • Temperature variations ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with high humidity levels.
  • Handling products at temperatures between 25 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Noise levels between 50 db and 110 db.
  • Exposure to dust, feathers, and various chemicals used in poultry processing.
  • Mandatory use of protective gear as directed by the company.
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide and chlorine vapors.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and pushing items along conveyor systems.
