Job Summary:

We are seeking a Procurement and Contracts Specialist for our client in San Antonio, Texas. This is a temporary contract assignment with a duration of 3-6 months.

The successful candidate will have experience with procurement and/or reviewing/processing contracts, as well as technology skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare solicitations for the procurement of goods and services
  • Develop contract instruments and track and manage contracts
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to partners regarding procurement
  • Maintain a contract database to track contract changes and modifications
  • Process contract modifications and coordinate with other departments/partners as needed
  • Prepare periodic reports on current expenditures, contracts, and timelines for renewals
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a field relevant to the assignment
  • Minimum of three years of experience related to public procurement and/or workforce development programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in writing, speaking, and listening
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze information and develop solutions to problems
