UCHealth is seeking a skilled Emergency Services Technician to join our team. As an EMT-I, you will provide emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician's assistant, and/or registered nurse.
Responsibilities- Perform technical procedures as delegated, including establishing IV access, collecting specimens, providing wound care, and transporting patients.
- Assist physicians and nurses with performing medical procedures, including examinations, minor surgical interventions, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation.
- Report abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to medical/nursing staff.
- Assist with patient flow and keeping patient rooms clean, stocked, and orderly.
- Minimum Required Education: HS Diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level. Current State Licensure as an EMT with IV certification, or EMT-I.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
