Job Summary:
UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled RN Associate Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in evaluating staff performance and developing strategies for improvement.
- Develop and implement standards of care for the unit and patient population.
- Participate in providing and monitoring staff competencies.
- Actively coach and develop staff, serving as a role model for effective communication and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with the CNS/Educator to meet the educational needs of the unit.
- Assist with managing resources, including the equitable distribution of work and matching of assigned provider competency to patient needs.
- Facilitate processes to improve patient throughput throughout the organization.
- Work with the Nurse Manager to identify and resolve operational/budgetary, patient, and personnel issues.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care protocols, guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
- PALS Certification
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 3 years of experience in related clinical areas
