- POSITION OVERVIEW
- Conducts regular inspections on fire suppression and control systems to ensure operational readiness. Responds promptly to fire alarms and emergencies within the facility. Provides assistance during medical emergencies and may conduct drug and alcohol screenings for affected personnel. Collaborates with leadership to foster a secure working environment. Delivers basic emergency medical care in accordance with established protocols and practices. Offers technical support to the Safety and Health department to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience: Must possess a valid paramedic or advanced emergency medical technician (EMT-A) certification recognized in Tennessee. Previous experience in an emergency medical setting is advantageous. CPR and AED certifications are mandatory, with CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred. Must maintain personal professional liability insurance. A valid driver's license is essential. Familiarity with fire detection and control systems is preferred, though training will be provided.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of practice scope as per state regulations.
- Skills Required: Strong organizational capabilities, effective verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.
- Abilities: Capable of clear and positive communication. Must demonstrate a proactive attitude towards change and possess self-motivation. Ability to independently seek resources and work collaboratively. Competent in conducting basic needs assessments using various strategic tools. Proficient in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and maintaining efficiency in a dynamic environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, especially in high-pressure situations.
