Job Summary:

As a Fire Safety and Emergency Response Specialist at Blount Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections of fire suppression and control systems, responding to fire alarms and fires, and providing emergency medical care according to approved policy and procedures. You will also work with hospital leadership to promote a safe work environment and provide technical support to the Safety and Health department.

Job Specifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: Current paramedic or EMT-A certificate to practice professionally in Tennessee. Prior experience in emergency medicine setting preferred. CPR and AED certification required.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of scope of practice according to State regulations.
  • Skills: Organizational skills, effective oral and written communication, basic computer knowledge.
  • Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly, maintain a positive attitude, and work collaboratively. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
