OverviewThe Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting will oversee the month-end closing activities, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, reviewing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the month-end closing cycle, ensuring accuracy in general ledger maintenance and thorough review of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Provide mentorship and direct support to team members, ensuring adherence to deadlines and the accuracy of reconciliations while fostering a culture of excellence.
- Lead the preparation and review of financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage the consolidation of monthly financial statements utilizing Oracle's FCCS tool and supervise inter-company balance eliminations.
- Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of accounting transactions, financial statements, and management reports across various business units, ensuring precision and proper classification.
- Oversee the creation of transaction flow documentation for 1031 exchanges and intercompany settlements.
- Act as the primary contact for the annual external audit of the corporate business unit and facilitate additional audit processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure timely completion of tax deliverables in collaboration with the Corporate Tax Department.
- Minimum of 12 years of extensive accounting experience, with a strong background in leadership roles within a reputable Public Accounting firm or a complex corporate environment.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of five or more and collaborating with a large number of internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Oracle ERP systems, particularly in GL Manager functionalities.
- Experience in driving automation within Oracle modules to improve operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to lead successful system implementations and maintain stable operations.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong results-oriented approach with a history of meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000, potentially including a discretionary bonus, based on skills and experience.
