Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Consultative Search Group. This is a unique opportunity to work with a prestigious global asset management firm, responsible for maintaining the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the books and records of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts.
  • Account for and reconcile cash, investments, and real property.
  • Record and reconcile purchase and sale transactions.
  • Partner with our corporate actions team in reviewing and accounting for complex corporate actions.
  • Estimate and post monthly closing accruals.
  • Calculate income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating the distribution waterfall based on the governing documents.
  • Determine and prepare distributions and draw-downs.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients.
  • Analyze and calculate performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment.
  • Coordinate with funds' independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7-9 or 10+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules.
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
