Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Patient Care Coordinator. This is a full-time, hourly position that is non-exempt.

About Us:
The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) situated in Jackson, Michigan. Our clinic specializes in various fields including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob/Gyn. Over the years, we have significantly expanded our services to include medical, dental, pharmacy, and support services, along with multiple school-based health centers in the local area.

Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front office while representing the practice with professionalism. This role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage patient inquiries with a positive demeanor. Responsibilities include:
  • Welcoming patients warmly and providing excellent customer service.
  • Entering and verifying demographic and insurance information in the electronic medical record system.
  • Distributing and collecting necessary forms from patients.
  • Processing co-payments and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Scheduling patient appointments according to departmental guidelines.
  • Completing daily reminder calls and managing administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with patient care coordination and follow-up.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
